CFG Benefits specializes in building and maintaining customized benefit solutions for small to mid-sized companies.  We take on the responsibility of plan design, pricing, communication, compliance as well as ongoing support, freeing up HR managers and owners to be more strategically focused.

Our Approach

CFG focuses on the individual needs of each company and works to satisfy even the most budget-conscious management team. We use our intrinsic knowledge of the marketplace to identify appropriate benefit plans for each coverage area. Even after the plan is in place, we continue to provide exceptional service to every partner company, regardless of size.

Why We’re Different

We have excellent, long-term relationships.

We’re the vital connection between you, your employees and the benefit providers you select.  Through our decades of insurance business experience, CFG has cultivated topline relationships with every major carrier at both the senior and support levels.  These important bonds count more than ever in this automated, impersonal world and are essential for ensuring our clients are properly serviced.  It’s one of the main reasons why our clients stay with us.

We are intentionally small.

When you work with CFG, you work directly with a partner, not assigned to a junior service consultant.  You’ll have the confidence of working closely with a highly experienced and knowledgeable colleague in a cost-effective and personalized way. "Small" means we are nimble and responsive.

Our strategic partner collaboration is amazing.

We made a conscious decision not to bloat our organization with a variety of specialities and services. But we recognize that HR Managers in small to mid-sized businesses wear a lot of hats and have many additional related needs.  To meet those needs, we've identified a network of strategic partners providing best-in-class service around payroll, legal council, accounting, and property & casualty insurance. They deliver the same level of professionalism and expertise that we do.

Who We Are

Mark Lucier and Dave Clausen started their careers at a large national insurance carrier in Boston.  After experiencing the “big business” insurance model, Mark and Dave recognized the need for an independent, service-driven brokerage dedicated to the small and mid-sized market. Their early career was focused on tech startups and small non-profits and, decades later, they continue to excel in those areas. They credit their success to excellent listening skills, intense focus on the industry and a shared commitment to responsiveness.

What Others Say
Blurred Busines People

“Mark knows I’m incredibly stretched and he does so many things to make my life easier. I feel like he is part of our team and that he genuinely cares.”

“I’ve worked with CFG throughout my career at multiple different businesses.  I keep bringing them in because I know they can successfully handle complex cases including all the chaos from our acquisitions and mergers as well as transitioning groups out of PEOs.”

"...CFG is that rare company that gets my full endorsement.  I have worked with numerous insurance brokers over the past decade and none has been as professional, responsive and knowledgeable as CFG. I have continued to recommend CFG to my clients and those in my network who don’t get the level of attention and expertise they need from their current large broker.”
